The Swanguardians are all about being inclusive. In addition to supporting the men and women that take the field in our team’s colours, we also welcome everyone in our area regardless of how they choose to express themselves.
Prideraiser is a coalition of independent soccer supporters that raise money for LGBTQ+ causes in their local communities every June. Fans make a pledge per goal scored by the Rovers during Pride Month. If the Rovers score 10 goals, and you pledge $5 per goal, your pledge-per-goal means you’ll donate $50 to the recipients of our choice.
Thanks to a generous donor, our fundraising total will again be doubled this year! As a result, we will be using Charitable Impact to collect all our donations before sending them to Rainbow Refugee. You will also instantly receive a tax receipt when you donate.
Each gameday is a doubleheader so we will be counting goals from both games (womens and mens) to maximize our contribution. The last game of our campaign is June 30, however, you will be edit your pledge amount right up to the time you submit payment to Charitable Impact for matching.
Rainbow Refugee promotes the safe transportation and the community building of people fleeing persecution due to sexual orientation, gender identity and expression and HIV.
