Another six point weekend for our Rovers courtesy of two hard fought wins away at Evolution has set us up for another big weekend of matches out at Langley and has put us atop the Juan de Fuca Plate Standings for the first time this year. Both our teams are in a fine run of form and Langley will be coming into Saturday’s matches after playing games on Wednesday against Evolution. If you can get out to Langley for these games, do so!
This week’s opponent
Langley United FC
Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Willoughby Stadium at Langley Events Centre
- Langley United Women (2-3-4, 6th) v TSS Rovers Women (4-1-3, 4th) @ 2:00pm Live stream
- Langley United Men (2-0-2, 2nd) v TSS Rovers (6-1-1, 1st) @ 4:30pm Live stream
There are lots of TSS Rovers connections in this weekend’s matches. Langley’s women’s team is coached by former TSS Rovers head coach Chelsey Hanneson and features former TSS Rovers players Raya Athwal and Reese Moffat. They have struggled of late, winless in their last seven games. Their last victory was against us at Swangard on April 18.
On the men’s side former TSS Rovers assistant coach Azad Palani heads up a team that includes several Vancouver FC under 19s and former TSS Rovers captain and legend, Connor MacMillan. After a mid-week win in which they defeated Evolution in injury time, they now sit second in the league, one point behind us.
