Road trip to Langley. Beers in the forest. Colin in the technical area! A not so subtle rainbow smoke display. Read on for a quick recap of 6 points from Unity.
Once again, our women stuck early (don’t show up late!), as Maddie Mah, who is here, there and everyfuckingwhere found the back of the net in minute number 8.
Delana Friesen, who probably scores goals in her sleep, added 2 more to give the Rovers a comfortable 3-0 lead. Unity tallied one back in minute number 70, but that was that, as the Rovers pick up a huge 3 points in their push for a playoff berth (and points in the race for the Juan de Fuca Plate).
The men kept Unity off the scoresheet, and a 25th minute penalty by Massud Habibullah was all the scoring the lads in red needed to stay on top of the league standings and stay in the drivers seat for the Voyageurs Cup berth. The boys control their own destiny there, with that last game vs Victoria looming huge.
